*Occupational Therapist Rehab Services | FT, PRN Days | The Occupational/Physical Therapist provides therapy services to children from birth to 21 years of age and other patients as assigned, to restore function and to prevent disability following disease or injury. This individual performs evaluations, planning, intervention, consultation and training under the supervision of the Director for Rehabilitation Services or designee. *Pediatric Care Aide Nursing | Full-time Eve, Night | The Pediatric Care Aide performs direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and performs other unit duties as assigned. All efforts are directed towards continuous quality improvement and family centered care. *Physical Therapist Rehab | Days Full-time | The Physical Therapist administers physical therapy treatments as ordered by a physician and in accordance with accepted practices of physical therapy. Responsible for the thoroughness and accuracy of the work, the records and the reports given to the physician. The PT must be a graduate of an APTA approved physical therapy curriculum. This individual must demonstrate a professional and enthusiastic interest in a pediatric program enhancement/development to address the diverse and holistic needs of this population. Must have a working knowledge of the principles of pediatric recreation therapy. Knowledge of growth and development, and of diseases and disabilities. Ability to work well with others. *Senior Resource Nurse Nursing | Full-time Evenings | The Senior Resource Nurse (SRN) is a professional Registered Nurse who is responsible for the supervision, direction, and delivery of nursing care on a specific shift including the educational and performance improvement activities. The SRN provides clinical guidance and management support to all staff members, including evaluation process and application of Human Resource policies to assigned staff members. This individual communicates and collaborates with admissions, the interdisciplinary team, support services, physicians and staff members to enhance quality patient care. All efforts are directed toward continuous quality improvement, family-centered care, and good customer relations. In addition, this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and diagnoses of the patients served by the Department of Nursing. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess and analyze data reflective of the patient population and reflective of the age-specific needs to facilitate care by the nursing staff. A BSN is required and credits towards a Master’s degree is preferred. Five years of experience, of which at least three of those years should be in Pediatrics. At least one year of experience as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor or hold a Management position is required. The SRN assumes responsibility for continued education and maintain skills, demonstrates excellence in Pediatric Nursing, demonstrates leadership ability and demonstrates the ability to implement administrative and organization principles. This individual also demonstrates the ability to implement good interpersonal relations with all members of the hospital staff. The SRN also demonstrates knowledge of behavioral and scientific principles. A current DC RN license, current CPR and PALS certification is required. Membership in a professional organization, certification in Pediatric Nursing, Rehab Nursing and/or Nursing Administration is preferred.
